CeX invalidating warrenty

Hi,

I've just bought an mpx200 from CeX and mentioned to them that I was considering sim-unlocking it. The guy serving me told me this would invalidate the warrenty - do you think this is true? If so, why, and how can they really tell (without going to the trouble of putting another network sim in)?

It would invalidate your warranty because you would be altering the

phone and fitting a non standard part ie the SIM from another network.

Best thing to do is read the warranty agreement you have.
