Guest craigblade Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Hi, I was recently told that sim unlocking my mobile at http://www.imei-check.co.uk is the cheapest way of unlocking my mpx200 in the UK. Anyway, I had a little look on the web and found this website that are unlocking them at only £15: http://www.unlockingmobiles.co.uk/motorolaremote.htm Is there any difference in the way they are unlocked - is either any better? Or are there any cheaper options still? craig
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 The unlockingmobiles site has the following, You Must Check We Have Your IMEI Number In Our Database. We Cannot Issue Unlock Codes If Your Phone's IMEI Number is Not Listed Failure To Check First Will Result in Disappointment, And No Refunds Will Be Given. Where as the imie-check site does not rely on getting the information from a database so is more reliable and should work 100%

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Fry a few phones and write your own unlocking software and you could release it to the public. :)

Guest craigblade Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 Hi, Awarner (or anyone else that may know): You said the website I mentioned relies on them having my imei number on their database - I have already checked this and it does. So having said that, is either company better to use for unlocking my phone? thanks, craig
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Technically there is no differance apart from the possible speed of service, but if you have waited this long does it really matter? The £20 service should only take a few minutes where as the £15 service can take between 1 to 48 hours.
