Guest deejayry Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 last night i made an attempt to send some files to a friends motarola phone using bluetooth. she could send files to my phone with no problems but i am unable to find any way to send files via bluetooth. whats the secret? do i need to download some software? also i keep getting an error when trying to send files by infrared using smart explorer, the error says "error occured. file not" i'm assuming that there is more to this message but it's cut off as it is too large for the box it is displayed in. any ideas on this one? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest PaFF Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 A mate and I have just been trying to do this at work in Bristol. SPOOKY
Guest Thurstan Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 You need the latest version of Smart Explorer from www.binarys.com. When you go to send & receive, it then has the send via BT option. How did he send the files to your phone? I haven't been able to do that using BT
Guest deejayry Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 First we set up a bond between the 2 phones then she just sent the files to me using the standard bluetooth utility on her phone. when she pressed send a notice came up on my phone asking if i want to accept the file, press yes and it saves it to the my documents folder in the phones internal storage
Guest Helix Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 How did he send the files to your phone? I haven't been able to do that using BT You must make sure u have enabled 'Beam' in Settings as for some reason the phone requires this on to recieve data from IR or BT.
