i think alot of people use Displex to remove scratches and such.....but you can give this a try :)

but don't touch the actual screen inside the phone as you can damage it

Well.. I alrdy touched the actual LCD inside and damaged it and its got ghastly smudges now and that is what I am looking to get rid of, question is will this cloth remove the smudges etc. from the actual LCD.

i wouldn't advise cleaning the screen as there is a good chance you will make it worse, but you can give it a try and not put much pressure on if you want to risk it... :!:

i dont know what the spvs lcd is like but if you can smudge it just by touching it it must have some kind of coating on is that reacts with the sweat/acis on your fingers. This mneans using something like a wet/dry wipe is very dangerous, the coating on the lcd could make the screen much worse. Looking at the description of the wipes they are used for things that dont have similar coatings. I mean you can youch a pc screen/cd or pda lcd and it wont leave a permanent mark like it does on spv screen.

I ADVISE YOU DONT TRY THIS

Id imagine you need a specilist product that can handle this type on lcd that has this coating, which may not exist. If you find another product the best thing to do is email them and ask and be very specific about what type of screen it is.

how come you had your spv open anyway?

Once the actual screen is damaged it becomes slightly etched as it is not a smooth serface.

If this is damaged then it's time for a new screen :)

dont use displex on the actual lcd, that will prob eat through it, its only designed to work of the plastic cover that forms the outer screen.

And i've found that the lcd can be cleaned with a standard cloth without damaging it, so just be careful not to put to much pressure or scratch it etc and you should be fine

there are smudges that don't seem to go with a normal cloth plus there are white fust particles which kinda seem stuck to the screen and one can't remove them either/

most clean cloths wont do any major damage, and if you are careful can clean the screen, as for getting alcohol wipes they should be ok. Using any sort of chemical on the lcd its self is going to end in tears :)
