HELP please....editing files

I have a couple of great ringtones. But I am trying to get rid of the 3 sec delay. I have used the registry editor. No go. It reverts back to the original settings.

I have been told I can edit the xml file in my profiles. Ok. But I can't copy the file to my pc.

Each time I try I get an error message saying, my mobile doesn't have enough memory, the file may be read only, make sure you have permission to copy the file.

Can anyone help please. This is driving me mad. :x

have you tried this tweak by midnight

Open the registry editor:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERControlPanelSoundsRingTone0

Select 'Values'

And modify 'Script' by removing the w3 (eg. change 'av0pw3r' to 'av0pr')

you can also try to use any notepad and edit xml on your phone

Yes I have tried midnights tweak but it doesn't hold for some reason.

I don't have a notepad editor on my phone. Where can I get one?

are you trying to edit file in windows?? you can,t edit these

go to IPSM (STORAGE)/Application Data/Profiles and edit xml in there

here is xml you can edit this and move to IPSM(STORAGE on sp2003)/Application Data/Profiles

Just a couple. Notepad, smart explorer, phm registry editor, fonix voice

i can just say buy a sd card and install app's on sd card

Have an SD card. Uninstalled all apps to the card. Rebooted tried again. Still get the error message. God this is frustrating.
