hi, got smartphone today and am an absolute newbie. i wondered where you have to put nes roms on the smartphone. i have made a folder with the smartnes application under the games section on spv, but i dont know what files i have to put where in order to load up the roms. i have got excite bike and i have tried putting it in the same folder as smartnes application. i have tried this with the files unzipped, then files in folder within smartnes folder and files in a zip file. so can someone tell me where to put it please. thanks

also i have got the doom port but i dont know how to get it to work. all the files i have is a .exe file called mydoomce2.exe

thanks a lot

Smartnés.

You did right.

For example Storage Card/Smartnes

Put the smartnes.exe and all .nes roms in the smartnes folder and make a shortcut för thé exe, säy, put it in games folder of the ipsm, windows, startmenu

Your basic rom should be .nes extensiöns, mario.nes for example.

Run smartnes, then load röm. there you hav a list öf thé gamés u hävé.

Dööm

Yöu may gö to Dööm pört thread by röözbeh for installation instructiöns.

Hope that helps

hey guys i seem to have a smartnes problem i was hoping someone out there would be able to help me with!

*warning im a complete spv e200 noob!, i will not be responsible for any stress caused by my stupidity*

Basicaly i have the emulater working, and i can load roms a treat!

but the main roms i want to play, Final Fantasy 1 and 2.. are buggy!

They run the first time loaded no problems at all. but if i shut down the emulater and then try and load the rom up again the screen just stays black whilst the music plays in the background!!

Is this a bug which is not fixed yet or something im doing wrong?

Thanks

i havent had the problem with reloading. I always exit the program using the exit option otherwise i'll have to restart the phone to play a rom again. But final fantsy 1 works fine with me, its 2 and 3 that have bugs. both of them have scrambled text and monsters are just blocks of letters. I have no idea why it does this.

i know that problem! all you do is bring up the start menu or something, anything that would change the screen. for example, going into a house or through doors 'n' stuff :)

@WKitching: it seems you have a save file error. you see, smartnes takes a "shot" of the game when you quit the prog or switch roms. this save file is located in the same place you put the rom. it should be "rom.nes.sav". to rid of the problem, just delete it. of course, not all roms have this problem, but most do. you better hope you saved within the game before you delete this! :)
