Activesync failing

My new SPV E200 seems to be working just fine, everything running smoothly, with the exception of activesync.

When I try to copy across a large file, the phone disconnects midway through transfer. It's fine for synchronisation and for transferring small files, but as soon as I try to put on anything that takes longer than five minutes or so, it just decides it's not connected anymore.

It stays connected indefinitely when not transferring, however. I read another topic here with a few other users with this or a similar problem, but I don't know if anybody knows what causes this or how to fix it.

I'm running the latest ROM, a Viking 256MB SD card, which appears to work fine, and current activesync.

Ideas, anyone?

there is a know bug where activesync tends to disconnect when the phone reachesw full charge...this may be what's happening while your files are transferring?

Have you done the update?

if you don't know if it has it already go into settings>about and tell us what's in there :)

It depends how large the files are you are trying to move, as

the data connection can timeout.

If it's say movies etc then your best option is to get a USB

card reader as they are more stable and secure.

It seems to be able to stay connected if I'm not transferring anything, but these files are 40MB+, and it just disconnects before they finish.

sorry to hijack this thread, but i've just got my first SPV E200 and want to connect to my BT enabed laptop to use acive sync. However the phone says "Please bond with other Bluetooth device which support serial port or ActivwSync profile as your ActiveSync partner!"

The PC can see the phone as a serial deivce on COM5 but it doesnt go any further.

On the phone, open activesync, and choose "Sync via BT", this should start the synchronisation...

also make sure you have bonded the pc to the phone..

eg. Pair the PC and the Phone FROM the phone, not the pc :)
