mute function

Can Anyone help me!!!!.......My mpx200 is getting stuck in mute mode.... everytime i reset to unmute no one can hear me and when i remake the phone call it's back in mute mode....so does anyone know what the problem is or do i hard reset the phone............ and is there away of turning the mute function off perm............thanks

Or does anyone think it could be a microphone problem??????

It does sound more like a Hardware problem and possibly

cause by dirt contaminating the microphone connection.

Is the phone actually showing that it's muted?

The only thing to try is a hard reset, that will prove one way or the other is it's Hardware or software.

Remember to backup your contacts with Outlook first as all

your contacts and apps will be wiped.

Have just done a hard reset.....problem still there......have contacted motorola but no reply as yet......can anyone recommend on what i do next ........thanks

If the phone is on a contract you should contact your network

otherwise if you hve bought the phone secondhand it may

cost to send the phone off for repair.

If the phone does not have a warranty the other option is to take the phone apart and clean the contacts on the mic.

Only problem there is you need the correct tools a T5 screwdriver.

Gave up in the end and took the phone apart myself....the mic needed cleaning.......works fine now........thanks
