Ok my 12 months are up on Orange and I currently have a SPV (orginal). I can now upgrade/cancel(to goto another network) to get a new phone.

What shall I get? have read a lot on here about the E200 and the negaitves of it, only got a day use from my SPV battery wise. I have seen my mates P900 nice but big, other mate has a Moto Mpx200.

I definately want Bluetooth and a camera this time, not bothered about newest and greatest, but dont like to pay too much for a phone as they come down quick. I am on a £25 a month tariff.

Also have looked at other none smartphone phones, MotoV600, etc

What do you suggest? also I have a car charger and the plug and go car kit for my SPV will these work on the E200?

please help me in choosing, or should I wait a little for the Moto Mxp100 or whatever? I have a PPC as well by the way. How much do you think the Mpx100 will be on launch?

what about the nokia 6600? this is a smartphone?

again any comments please

cheers

I am in the exact same position as you.

My contract is up this week and i have been agonising over what to get next! E200, P900 or Treo600.

From what your requirements are - it sounds like the E200 would be the best bet. I think all the adapters still work - although i don't know for sure.

Perhaps the best way to describe it is "Better the devil you know"

the treo 600 has minute keys useable in my opinion, so what do you think you will get?

anybody else please help, the E200 will be free for upgrade for me the P900 prob be £200 so a big diff then and then I need a BT headset

from what i have heard from my many secret sources, it might be a good idea to wait a few weeks before upgrading *nudge* *nudge* *wink* *wink*, that and AT&T will have the 220 out in stores next month :)

that and orange data services told me that they are 'playing' with some new moto hardware

AT & T are in the US, sorry I'm from the UK. Is this a reliable source? are you talking about the Mxp 100? as the 220 hasnt even been offically announced yet, what the expected prices of these new handsets on a £25 tariff though?

if they are going to be expensive > £100 then think its better for me to get the E200?

cheers

hmm, this is tricky as i can't say too much about this

the way i see this being played out is we should see a new moto smartphone on orange soon, i can't say which and how much its going to cost as that information isn't available yet. (damn those pesky NDA's)

going from what happened with the MPx200, AT&T announce the new handset first then orange get it very soon after that.

I have just been for my first official play with the Treo and E200 down at the local Orange shop.

You are right - the treo keys are small and fiddly - but still on par with my exisiting SPV i think. SOmething that i got used to quite quickly really. The Treo was quick but the screen was poor - the E200 screen was very nice and crisp and it was nice to use - but exactly the same as my SPV pretty much.

At the moment - i might go for the E200 - just because it has slightly better features than the treo. Bluetooth is not something that i would use really - but the screen is definitely much much better than the Treo. Not sure what watching videos on the Treo would be like after the SPV. A little bit too blocky for my liking. Plus the E200 will run all the software that i currently use everyday on the SPV and i will not have to change my extra connectors i have bought.

Rumours are that there is likely to be a Treo 610 on the horizon with Bluetooth and a better screen. You can read more about this over at http://www.TreoCentral.co.uk

At a cost no doubt.

I enquired abou the E200 when it was lauched and was quoted about £175!

I expect the 220 will be in the same league for quite a few months.
