Guest DarkArthasBR Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Hi! i have a mitac mio 8390, and i tried to run 3 emulators: pockesnes, gnuboy and picodrive, and nothing! its quit when rom select (gnuboy and picodrive) and crashs (pocketsnes) i saw its about GAPI, what is it and has a way to fix this problem?
Guest modojojo Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 So far with the Gapi fix smartnes and gnuboy works. Pocketsnes does not work and I don't know about picodrive.
Guest Frazzyscot Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Picodrive is amazing on the 8390 now that GAPI works!!!
Guest schriss Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Looks like Mio8390 users are finally happy :D
Guest PrettyUgly Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 SmartNes and PicoDrive run well on the 8390. I dont know how to get the gnuboy to work right though. I have an 8390 and an mpx 200. the mpx i was able to push the jog button and it would bring up the configuration menu. dont know how to do it on the 8390 though
Guest modojojo Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 There doesn't seem to be any config menu for gnuboy on the 8390, or I can't acess It. gnuboy Is working 90% for the 8390, no sound, no save state, no control config and you must turn the phone off to exit the emulator(Ah well better than nothing ). Picodrive on the 8390 Is at 95% small percentage of games don't work and no sound. Smartnes Is the only emu so far at 100% on the 8390 everything works.
Guest spacemonkey Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Get the latest gnuboy from www.surrealservices.co.uk I'm pretty sure it now goes to menu if you press a volume button due to a number of phones have difficult/non-existant voice record buttons. Maybe the MIO 8390 also has some issue with the volume buttons being different from previous phones?
Guest modojojo Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Maybe the MIO 8390 also has some issue with the volume buttons being different from previous phones? Thanks for the assist spacemonkey, but What you stated above Is exactly the problem with the 8390.
Guest PrettyUgly Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Get the latest gnuboy from www.surrealservices.co.uk I'm pretty sure it now goes to menu if you press a volume button due to a number of phones have difficult/non-existant voice record buttons. Maybe the MIO 8390 also has some issue with the volume buttons being different from previous phones? now the gnuboy just freezes all together when i start it. it goes to the rom list then when i select a rom it sits there and freezes and i have to take the battery out the phone and all. gnuboy worked perfect with my mpx 200, i wonder why my 8390 is giving me so many problems
