Guest evilminky Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 today i seemed to get a much better battery (no rom update) or a least 2 bars left when im normally getting a warning i the only thing i could think of for this was there were no wmp files on my sd card. maybe the card accesses the files constantly for use as ringtones? also e200 loads all the tracks quicker than spv could this be because it is already looking at them and using alot more battery power? sorry if seems stupid but thought i would share that with everyone.
Guest dh Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Had a similar issue, was using Smartphonenotes with the notes synced to the SD card, whe the app was running, mostly in the background the battery drained, now with the notes synced to the phone its much better. Take the card out its its about twice as better again. I think that smartphonenotes kept the SD card on as it was cheking the notes etc.
Guest beersoft Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 I've been doing some testing/research into batteries and whatnot i have made some changes to my battery monitoring tool (i added loging to a csv file) and got chrisjm to test it on his E200 and i ran it on my MPx200 as you can see the E200 runs down in a nice steady line and the mpx bounces about so going from my drunken research, the E200 just sucks batteries at an average of 1% every 25 mins or so, but its inconclusive as i havent a clue what chrisjm was doing with his phone (and is best not to ask:) ) later Owen
Guest meatgrinder Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 lol beersoft, interesting find, i think, not sure what exactly it tells us - but what the hey, theres a graph and a joke - it must be important :). seems like a solution w8ing for a problem  Dave
Guest Vector Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 ChrisJM and i fully charged our phones, and took them out the chargerat the same time, but by the end of the day Chris' battery had died :? and mine was still on 66% :) We both have same SD and we both played a little bit of eclipse on the train, probably i played eclipse more than him (we were on a day trip to cardiff hehe)...and we both had same programs running. So that shows how random the battery is :?
Guest beersoft Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 its power(in %) over time (in mins) later Owen
