Surely this can't be right

It would seem I can only use midi files for text alerts on my SPV e200.

Surely this isn't the case? I can use wma files for my calls but not my texts???

The wma files appear in the lists for the text message alert, but all you get when you use them is a default system beep.

You can use ONLY Midi and WAV files for text alerts, but not WMAs.

Of course, ring tones can be any of the above file types.

Not sure why this is the case though...?

I've not managed to get anything but midis working.

What do WAVs need to be encoded at to work?

Does this make sense ?

PCM 22,050 Hz, 8 Bit, Mono

Well, it does make sense to me, but my phone won't play WAVs encoded at that rate...

Are you sure your wavs are PCM, and not ACM :?:

(ACM are compressed in a similar way to mp3's, and our phones can't play them)
