Guest idavid Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 right! have had my nice new mpx200 4 days and this morning i noticed that it had switched itself off over night. no problem i thought. tried to turn it on and it got to sunrise screen before powering down again! have tried many times to turn it on but it only stays on for 15 seconds (long enough to get past the flower and to the sunrise before going blank!? any ideas before i take it back to the shop... edit: right got it to turn on. the battery is half full so it went down by 50% overnight sitting in the cradle (although it could have turned off at any point) really dont know what to do now. cannot be arsed pissing about with my phone every morning, but cant exactly go to orange shop and say 'err... sometimes my phone doesnt turn on in the morning, i want a new one' ARSE! edit again: right so i got going. checked smart tasks manager and i had 46% power left. 4 hours later and the phone is dead! made one five minute call! and now i cant turn it back on! my spv classic has been resurrected for the time being... oh well  edit yet again: well after a three hour charge it seems to be working fine. perhaps i had left an application running last night and it had fried the battery over night and it just ran out of power.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 One thing I have noticed is the phone does not like being left in the cradle when the PC is powered off, my phone loses power when I do this. Remember a good overnight charge ie 12-16 hrs works wonders for the battery.
Guest idavid Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 yeah, i think thats it. but its pretty annoying. i would like to just sit it their when i am home and not think about it. what do you do with yours? do you take it out of the cradle at night and sit it somewhere? plug it into the seperate charger? i think i might put the charging thing to the cradle and active sync seperately.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I generally get home and plug it straight into the lappy then unplug it at night when I power off. I have just done 48 hrs+ without a charge and the battery was still on 68% :)/
Guest idavid Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 right, will definately try something different. the thought of getting 48 hours out of a phone is amazing! :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004  sorry just edited the last post I ment 48 hrs+ and on 68% This is with mainly being on standby and using the alarm in the mornings and a few games of eclipse.
