Guest Tech Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 hi there! just got my smartphone after a repair after 2 days of getting it - faulty fone... anyway, i am a programmer. make different and serious apps etc... and i am wondering, what do i need in order to make apps and run it on the smarphone E200? I have made a simple app in lets say, VB, and transferred it to the fone and ran it but says access denied... any ideas? Thanks
Guest Peter Foot Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 To write managed (.NET Compact Framework) applications for Smartphone 2003 you need Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional (or a higher edition) and the Windows Mobile 2003 for Smartphones SDK which adds smartphone support and emulator into Visual Studio. Then you can create a new project as a "Smart Device Application" and deploy it to your E200. Peter
Guest Maverick Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 U also need to unlock ur phone for development before you can deploy apps on it. U can do it from the Orange OTA unlock site.
Guest Tech Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 thanks :) i did read about that and unlocked it - it should work..hopefully, did it last nite and said that it was successfully done  thats right huh? ok off to install VS.net 2003 and also - where can i obtain the other thing?
