Guest barkythedog Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 another stupid questuion and yes ive done a search but no definitive answer what is an IPSM ive seen it a couple of times on my phone but its gone after ive hard reseted a few times and how do i create one
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 The IPSM is always there, it's the storage part of the phone that contains the non core OS files. So when you hard reset you delete the IPSM but on a reboot after it is recreated again.
Guest barkythedog Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 i hard reseted yestereday and then put some progs back on but cant see said ipsm
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 You can only see it (it's a folder) when you browse the phone with ActiveSync or a file explorer. Unless you have a WM2003 phone, where it's called "Storage" of course. I don't think the phone will work without it !
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 It's one of the main folders, when you first explore the phone you will have Windows, IPSM, Temp, Databases and Storage card (if you have one in your phone). There is the other solution, that as you did not say what phone you have you could have an E200 and running the 2003 OS if that is the case IPSM is renamed "Storage"
Guest barkythedog Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 it is a2003 bought in march spv e200
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 In that case you do not have or need a folder called IPSM as it's now evolved into the name Storage.
