Bluetooth and ActivSync - in a legacy environment.

All,

I have been using an SPV (you know, the old one we were all embarrassed to still be using ) ... using a hard connection (or sometimes IR) to ActivSync with my home (Windows based) PC.

I have recently upgraded to an SPV E200 (the crowds roar!!!!!) and would like to ActivSync using BT.

I haven't used the Orange (UK) install CD because I need neither of Outlook (Using Outlook 2003 having numerous MS licences for work, and the ActivSync 3.7.1 that is already on my machine) ...

But the moment I try to set (on my phone) "Setup BT ActivSync" it responds with "Please bond to other device that support serial port or ActivSync profile" ... the BT drivers on my PC are not up to the job?

Where do I get suitable BT drivers?

Thanks all,

AidanApWord

Don't bother with the "Setup BT Activesync, just progress to "Connect Via BT"

Take a look at This thread for a guide :)

Vector,

Thanks mate!

The detail on your referenced post looks like all I will need!

As an aside: the SPV E200 I picked up from the store the other day is faulty. *sigh* ... so it seems I will have to wait till the new one is in me grubby little paws before I can hack at this!

Cheers again!
