Guest KingDaddy Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Preferably not HTC themselves and preferably in the US. I got a Tanager on Ebay with WM2003 and I'd REALLY prefer not to send it HTC and have them flash it back to 2002! The joystick is really loose. Up and left work fine but down, right, and action barely work. Any ideas?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 HTC do not generally repair the phones themselves they rely on a third party to repair faults.
Guest the loc-man Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 I have an orginal SPV that has locked up on the startup screen again, since it is 11months I decided to take it back to Link and get it "repaired" I know how to hard reset it by the way After loads of phone calls and confusion they eventually found where to send it off, its now 2 and a bit weeks and the Eng has sent an email saying he is working on it to Link. What I am hoping is they cant "fix" it and then I have to have a replacement, they dont seem to have any in the shop now tho, it is still under 12months so they have to do something, if I get it back "repaired" I'm not bothered as I can upgrade from next week anyway, prob get a E200 or wait for a MPx100 what do you think?
Guest squall Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 if they cant get you a working e100 they will prob have a list of secondary replacements, i doubt very much the mpx100 will be on the list whilst the e200 is still on sale. You may be offered an mpx200 or e200. Id prob go for mpx200 as they are worth slightly more on ebay. Really depends if you want camera and bluetooth
