Guest Ja5on Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 ok first im sorry if this is a double post, i cant seem to find ne thing that tells me how to sort this out, this is my first post in the forum as i have been able to find most of what i need by searching...... for some reason my mpx200 has stopped telling me when i get an sms, even n the front screen it says sms(0) until i open the folder itself, then the new 1s are there....i was messing about wiv registory edit thing and trying to make them save to SD card then i realised that it got rid of all my msgs, so i was trying to get them all back, gave up in the end....now ive noticed this little bug has come up, so i was wondering if it has happend before n what i can do about it....fingers crossed it aint a hard reset! love the forum, thanks in advance for any help oh yeah is summat wrong wiv the chat thing i cant get onto it...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Welcome to the site :) The chat is playing up at the moment but try this irc://irc.xnet.org:7000/Smartphone As for the initial problem tyring to move key components to the storage card can give many unwanted and unstable effects. More than likely you have missed an alteration in the registry that you have done but the only real way to fix this is to do a Hard Reset as only you know exactly what has been done.
Guest Ja5on Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 well i used 'RJV Reg Tweaks UI' to change the stuff, so i dont have a clue what it did....i changed it so it went to card, then changed it back....i'll have a play about later on or summat
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 In this instance a Hard Reset is the easiest and quickest option. Just remember to back up your contacts etc first.
Guest Vector Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 Yep, and if hard resetting i reccomend using Sprite Backup to back up your data :)
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 I recommend Sprite backup software before you in the hard reset and the Orange service is good for contacts etc. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 Unless you have an Orange MPX200, as the app still thinks my phone is locked when it's not :?
Guest Ja5on Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 ok cheers for help, ill do it later on when i can be bothered lol, im glad nearly every thing is installed on the card :)
