Guest Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 I ask as I can't play back videos created on my phone back on my pc? The sound works for about 2 seconds and then it just skips to the end, the picture doesn't appear at all. Cheers
Guest Vector Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Try getting the latest Divx codec from Divx.com :)
Guest Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 Surely it doesn't use the DivX codec when you record using the video recorder. I'd be surprised if Microsoft would use that??? I do have it installed btw but it may need re-installing.
Guest zeta101 Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 its not divx, theres was a post about this a while back, certain codec packs have it in: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1042...4274&highlight=
Guest Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 Cheers Zeta. Through that link I tried QuickTime which plays them fine, the funny thing is according to a program called G-Spot (which analyzes video files and tells you what codec you need) says I have two codecs for this file format. Windows Media Player 9 can't play the file. It's a pity I can't rename them to .mov as that way I could just double click on them but if I do QuickTime can no longer open them. I don't want to set AVIs to QuickTime as most of the time I use Windows Media Player 6.4 to open them. I tried installing the trial M-JPEG codec but it made no difference.
