Guest nedge2k Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 (edited) File Name :: Longhorn 4015 Author :: nedge2k Category :: Computer Description :: Authors Nedge2k, Richie M, Gradiation, ChrisJM, Beersoft Features Richie M's LHv2 Homescreen fixed for E200 with added Auto Delivery Reports and re-worked colour scheme Gradiation's System Screens wth my Activesync Screen Gradiation's WMP Skin My Boot, Contact, Dial, Incall and Start Menu Screens My Caller ID templates My Xbar Skin My PocketMusic Skin (not Longhorn related but it looks cool :) ) Operator name change to "Longhorn" (O2 and Orange) Vibrating everything! Sounds galore Enable Pocket IE to download .exe files Activesync name change to "Longhorn" Looping Alarm and Ringtone ChrisJM's E200 Startup Sounds App Beersoft's E200 Screenfix App System-wide font change to BN Dragon Other stuff i cant remember... Comments Firstly, delivery reports only work for Orange. If you're on O2 you have to replace the home screen xml with the one posted and you must edit "My Text" in the inbox options so that number 1 is *0# (the only way to get delivery reports on O2). If you change you're profile the looping ringtone reverts back to play-pause-play etc. This can be fixed by editing the normal.prof.xml file and you'll never have to mess with the reg again  Er...cant really think of anything else...any probs let me know. Thanks to all who let me include their stuff  [EDIT] The system now looks to StorageWindowsFonts and not Windows makin it eaasier to change your font. The font included with my cab is not a full font [/EDIT] Inf file available if anyone wants it. Download Added new home.xml to remove the "Mobile Device" iconbar BEFORE YOU INSTALL THIS THEME PLEASE NOTE: THE HOMESCREEN INCLUDED IN THE WM2003 .CAB USES THE ORANGE PLUGIN AND THEREFORE WILL NOT DISPLAY CORRECTLY ON NON-ORANGE PHONES I.E. XPHONE, I-MATE ETC. TO UNINSTALL (REBOOT FIRST): 1) Go to remove programs and remove the theme (If this fails try installing again then uninstalling straight after. If it still doesnt work change to a different homescreen and delete the theme files manually) 2) Run my uninstall .cab (not always needed) 3) Reboot Updated Thu, Jan 27 2005 3:37 pm View File Edited January 27, 2005 by Paul [MVP]
Guest nedge2k Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 8080 is a 2003 device so yeh  Although some aspects of the homescreen use the Orange plugin...you may wanna try the horiginal homescreen from HERE
Guest jimbou Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 I just tried it in greek qtek 8080 and it messed my fonts My whole menu has lost its characters and has been full of squares instead of letters What can i do? Can you post a version without different fonts?

Guest furby Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Do you think you might be able to get it to work on win2002 (mpx200 Orange UK) Btw, really nice skin
Guest Leon1970 Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Ack! I've uninstalled the skin but now I have no media player and it still does the vibrating thing when a warning appears. Also when I connect to the PC via Activesync, the partnership is listed as Longhorn. How do I: a) Get media player working (when I select it to start, nothing happens) :) Stop the vibrate alert c) Change the partnership name back to what it was Hope you can help. Cheers
Guest Vector Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Try running This CAB to reset screens back to normal :)
Guest ivor biggun Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Any chance of a version for wm2002 so i can have this on my MPX???? Im sure its not just me who would like this

Guest nedge2k Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 RE: Other operators Will have a cab for you tomorrow night...been busy wiith BBQ's and work today RE: 2002 version I also aim to have this done tomorrow...if not, wednesday
Guest Leon1970 Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Hey Nedge2k, I'm sure it does usually uninstall without a problem, not sure why it tripped up this time :/ The reset screen cab changed the screens back but, media player still doesn't work, the vibrate on menu's opening (not on alert as previously thought) and the partnership name is still Longhorn  Oh, well, I don't have much on there anyway so I'll reinstall an old back up of my phone. That'll is sort it out :)
Guest furby Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 RE: Other operators Will have a cab for you tomorrow night...been busy wiith BBQ's and work today RE: 2002 version I also aim to have this done tomorrow...if not, wednesday. Cool, look forward to using it :)
Guest rankinl Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Nice skin guys. However, I do have to add my comments on the un-installation. I had to go through the CAB xml and unpick lots of the settings as mentioned such as ident, and operator names, vibrates everywhere etc. I would suggest at least a warning with the CAB that if you dont know how to unpick these sorts of settings then wait until there is a good un-install routine. (Midnights home reset CAB is great but does not undo all the "damage") Also there is a typo in your install script relating to the Caller ID gif (I think), anyway one of your install paths is to "My Documets". But enough of the negative. Great home theme effort !
Guest phuqertrfc Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 I am unable to remove this program. I get an error saying program can't be removed. I have managed to get rid of the font and all the screens but my service still says Longhorn. I tried running the cab file that is supposed to restore all the settings but that didn't work and I restored from orange backup but that didn't work. How do I either a) uninstall the program or :) get rid of longhorn and replace it back with orange?

But enough of the negative. Great home theme effort !Apologies again guys, i didnt realise that uninstalling wouldn't reset the registry back to the way it was....it bloody should! I'll knock together an unistall cab for the theme as soon as i get a spare minute...there's a hell of alot of things in the cab (its almost 1.5 meg!) and rewriting takes a bit of time. As for the typo....my cab installs three .pit templates to the my documents folder and a .gif image for the background so you dont see those damned annoying white spaces (as you do on all other caller id templates :) ) BTW, here's the .inf file used to make the cab so you can all see whats what  [Version] Signature = "$Windows NT$"    ; Guest rankinl Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 And from your if file, spot the typo in the following line: Caller ID = 0, StorageMy DocumetsIA Caller ID Photos "My Documents" and not "My Documents". To be clear, your version is missing the last "n" in the word "Documents". I can assure you it does not install the file in the right place. Check your storage and you will see it has created a new folder called "My Documets"
