Smartphone GPS Off Road Application?

Hi,

I know we have mapopolis to use if we have a GPS device and want to use our smartphones for Sat Nav on road. However, I'm a keen mountain biker and would love to be able to plot my current location, using GPS if necessary, onto an OS map or similar which would show me where I was on the map when off road and up a mountain somewhere.

I know such software exists for Pocket PC. www.memory-map.co.uk have exactly what I want but I asked them and they have no plans to port it to Smartphone. :lol:

So is there something equivalent which exists for the smartphone? If I can find this then I can totally do away with my PDA! :)
