Well, in Edinburgh, where I live, they are commonly known as 'schemies' (individuals who reside in a council housing scheme). But where I come from, Belfast, they are known as 'spides' (spidermen). :)

EDIT : or also in Belfast, known as Steeks, which I always thought was hilarious coz it's also a nickname for anyone called Steven.
