Essential apps ?

I'm awaiting delivery of my mpx200 and I would like to know what essential apps etc I should get first to set up my phone ?

I would suggest:

Binary's SmartExplorer/Task Manager

Oxios Hibernate

...and thats all i could think of right now.

BTW, before you do anything, it might be wise to do a hard reset. maybe im wrong, but the Hard reset at the beginning made my mpx last longer, and run faster.

A hard reset can help as it gets all the preinstalled apps off

the phone. You can reinstall them from the cd again if you

need them but the biggest slowdown app is the jmms app.

If you do not use and need MMS then that is one app not to reinstall.

Also another excellent app is BetaPlayer for your video clips

etc, this is probably the best player around at the moment.

I would suggest surrealstart, it really speeds up the programs menu and makes it easier to customise with your own pics

Also a registry editor, you'll need it to sort out the homescreen bug if you decide to keep the MMS app aswell as various other tweaks (although more and more seem to be put into a CAB which is nice). I use the PHM Registry Editor.

Sprite Backup is a very good thing to have. It will save your bacon when you add that one program that screws the entire phone up. A simple click of an executeable on your SD card and your phone is back to your last save even after a hard reset.
