Have just recieved my replacement Motorola and am unable to unlock it! I used to use the Alphaflux Unlock file on my old phone and this worked fine. All i get now when i try run the .cab file is

"Installation failed. The program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate. Please contact your service provider for more information"

Any ideas??

Cheers

Dazlaa, had same problem with my repacement MPx200 yesterday, the Orange developer site will do the trick but you might have to bugger about registering the phone with the network, it took about half an hour to sort out when it should have taken a minute with the alphaflux cab

I have also noticed that with the new 'improved' MPx200 your registry edits reset every time the phone is turned off and on again so you have to keep doing the homescreen fix

I wish I had never taken my old phone for a swim! Apart from theses two obvious downsides to the inproved version, I'm yet to see any actual improvements, I wonder what it is they've done they consider better :?: :?:

Cheers

go here http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdefq.aspx follow instructions. if the over the air doesnt workj there is a cab you can send to your mobile which should do the trick.

Hello, I have pretty much the same problem, but i can't get the OTA unlock to work as i get absolutely no signal in my house, as (clearly) i have no friends i can't borrow anyone's computer either (damn my lack of social skills) is there any other way i can app unlock my phone??? Again, Alphaflux Unlock worked on my previous handset, but i get the same error "Installation failed. The program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate. Please contact your service provider for more information" The message above mentioned a cab file, is this a different one to Alphaflux Unlock????

Any help would be really nice

Ah, i appear to have had a blond day, it turns out the reason it wasn't working was because i had my norton firewall active. With this on it displayed a blank screen after the details page

Sorry!

You can still use OTA but you need to use passthrough ie

your pc's internet connection instead of GPRS
