GPRS Modem Problems - phone doesn't ring!

I always thought that when using a phone as a GPRS modem that incoming calls would still ring on the phone.

However, about 50% of incoming calls do not ring when the GPRS modem is in use - the phone is connected to PC via the USB cradle.

I know most users will probably have never used their phone as a modem since, Orange at least, claims it does not support its use, even though there is a section on it in the user guide.

But just how many members have experienced this problem?
