Help with dopod 515!!

Hi, I recently bought a dopod 515 from China and took it to England. Ireplaced the original chinese sim card with my old orange one. Now, the internet does not work at all - it seems to connect for a few seconds and then says "Unable to place call" and I lose signal completely. I've been to an orange shop and they said the phone is not supported and there is nothing they can do about it! :shock: The internat has to work here....right?? I've also contacted Dopod in china but they don't know what to do because it's an english network. Help!!

ps. is there bluetooth on this model because i've found a bluetooth program on it using smart explorer but i do not know how to work it.

Have a look in the GPRS Settings Repositry for the GPRS settings for Orange UK :)

And no the Dopod doesn't have bluetooth...

The phone shouldn't be a problem.

First you should have top centre G displayed on your phone when it's booted up.

Then create the following settings

Programs-Settings-Data connections

Menu-Edit connections

Create GPRS connection

Description: Orange Internet

Connects to: The Internet

Access Point: orangeinternet

In data connections make 'Internet connection: Orange Internet'.

Load Internet Explorer, goto Menu-Options-Connections and make 'Select Network: The internet'.

If it still fails then try deleting ALL existing dialup, proxy and GPRS connections and then re-create the above.

Okay thanks alot, it's working now :) but it only works after Aircraft mode has been switched off and back on :? lol nevermind at least it works now... Thanks alot again :lol:
