Guest nedge2k Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Get for FREE 7 (formerly commercial) programs for Microsoft Smartphone ! May 20, 2004 [MS Smartphone]Certain company went bankrupt and now you can get all their programs, also those that were commercial, for FREE. To do it, you need just to: go to www.orneta.com and download and install one of these programs (some of them were already previously free, and some of them were commercial) click here, select the program which you have just downloaded and installed, enter the user name (as it is in "Settings/Owner Information/Name" in your Microsoft Smartphone) and then press the button "Generate!" to get your registration key COMPLETELY FOR FREE - you don't even have to give your e-mail! * * * * * In order to preserve legacy of Orneta (a subsidiary of another company) in any way, we at msmobiles.com have bought rights to provide all these programs for end users for free. We offer no user support of these programs made by Orneta, but we offer you all registration codes for free. Neither Orneta nor msmobiles.com will be further developing these programs. SOURCE
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Yep it appears so. http://www.orneta.com/ Sad news as they gave some great input to the site.
Guest idavid Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 yeah, sad to see these guys stop working. some nice simple programmes
Guest BrAGoL Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 you said it right... Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest siu99spj Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Whilst I must admit I like the free software, its a shame to see such a good company disappear. Lets hope the other campanies can stay alive.
Guest NikLP Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Orneta Notepad is a great little program and I will continue to use it. Thanks to all at Orneta for their work. :)
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Ironically their product support was good, unlike some... ahem..AIMless companies we could mention
Guest NikLP Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Can I just ask if the software that is listed as 2002 compliant will work at all on the e200? I would really like a chess program...
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 All the Orneta software I've used is compatible with both 2002 & 2003, though I haven't used the chess one. Try it - it shouldn't cause any problems if not compatible.
Guest Palindrome Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 I am certainly sorry that there is no more Orneta. I use their products a lot and still haven't found any alternates that fit my needs as well as they do. Posted from my SmartPhone!

Guest badboy4life Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 They've released some excellent software, a real loss!! NikLP take a look here for e200 chess: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=97016&highlight=
Guest maxh2003 Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Very sad to see Orneta go under. Not only did they produce a bunch of very fine utilities - some of which still have no competition - but their pricing policy was fair and reasonable too, which is more than can be said for some.
Guest NikLP Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Ummm when I use this registration method it tells me I have entered an incorrect registration key...?
Guest Charlie Mouse Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 I haven't had that problem but there is no registration key generator for Notepad.
Guest Brody Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Reg keys work for me (at least with the Chess game and its working on 2003)
Guest ferryrich Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 I didn't have any owner information set and got 00000 as reg key for everything, none of which work. Do I REALLY need to set some owner information or do I just need to put a username in on the reg key generator and match it when registering on the device?! hmm... I shall investigate...
Guest Brody Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 The applications will be taking the owner information from the phone so you'll need to set it and then type it in on the reg key generator page.
Guest ferryrich Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Thats annoying. I've never even WANTED to set owner info and now I HAVE to just to register a free app?! I'm hoping I can enter stuff, get reg key, then remove my information and the apps will keep working.
Guest BrAGoL Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 then it won't work... isn't it great that if someone take a look on that apps and see it was "somehow" registered with your name? :) Posted from my SmartPhone!

This is normal practise to help to ruduce piracy. Why do you want to remove user info from the phone? If you don't like entering details don't use the app.
Guest martin Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 I suppose you could always set the name in owner info to a nickname (or your Modaco name) if you have never used this field before and don't want to use your real name. Posted from my SmartPhone!
