Guest bbrad Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 I've just bought and installed Sunnysoft WOL 1.4, and set up a couple of channels, I've downloaded/synchronized without any trouble (though they took ages). However, when I try to view i.e. select Menu - Read channels, IE just comes up with the 'Unable to connect. Verify dial-up and proxy settings are correct' error. I can browse the internet ok with GPRS so it's probably not IE, but the proxy settings in WOL (Menu-Options-Set proxy server) are blank. Is this normal, and if not what should they be? I've had a look about in the threads and loads of people have it working but don't seem to have this error. I assume that's because you lot are all cleverer than me () but if anyone very clever could check their's out and let me know what I'm doing wrong, I'd appreciate it. Also, this is my first post here, (I've been a voyeur for a while) so I'm glad I've finally popped my MoDaCo cherry. I'm off for a post-coital smoke now. I hope it was as good for you as it was for me. Oh, I'm on a SPV e200, unlocked with the ROM upgrade 2.6.1.3, in case any of that matters.
Guest ferret Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 I used this program on my original SPV with no problems what so ever. Tried it on my E200 and I get the same error message. Looks like Workd Offline is not compatible with WM2003  I'd try and get a refund if I were you, unless anybody else has found a solution.
Guest bbrad Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Dear Barry, please try different channels maybe there is a bug in the channel you are trying to open. I have also forwarded your request to the technicians and developers. Sincerely Peter Klekner Sunnysoft I emailed Sunnysoft yesterday to tell them about it and they've asked their developers to look into it. Hopefully, they'll come up with something, and if they do, I'll let you know...
Guest looeee Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 same here it works on my spv but not on my e200 i used to love this app, i really miss it looeee
Guest hymme Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 I guess i should have read this tread before bying this product. (Just transfered the money this morning) :) My phone is a E200 and i have the same problem...
Guest hymme Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 I am beginning to wonder if the company Sunnysoft actually excist. I have written to their support and even 2 other email adresses, but i´m not getting any reply at all. It´s not the money that pisses me off, but the fact that they don´t give a rat´s a** about their customers.
Guest bbrad Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 Yeah, I emailed Peter Klekner again last week, asking if his technicians and developers had any luck replicating the error and what they could do to fix it, but of course, there's been no response. All I can say is don't buy this product if you have an SPV or like some customer service.
Guest kleknerp Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 I am the product manager for global markets working for Sunnysoft. I can assure you the company is up na going. We are currebtly working on fixing WOL for PDA and Smartphones are next in the line. The problem with the proxi settings seems to be common unfortunately. I am thankfull for the information I found on this forum and I will make sure the developers get the information. For Brad. I have your e-mails read them all. Thanks. We are working on it.
Guest Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Hi I have an SPV E200 and yesterday I downloaded the Trial version of WOL. Spent three hours trying to figure out what was wrong... but no luck. Thank God I only used the trial version... Same errors that all other SPV E200 owners are getting... Lets hope the Sunnysoft team can do something about it. Cheers!
