Guest forzahibs Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 When i insert an sd card into my phone should the phone see it or is there something i should do ???
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Just place the card in the phone and you are away :) If you want to explore the contents of the card via the phone you will need an app like Smart Explorer from www.binarys.com
Guest forzahibs Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 i have the card in the phone but nothing has happened , is there a way i can check memory capacity or anything like that so that i know the card is ok ?? Also i have pop3 set up , i can receive and reply ok but if i try to send a new email it tries to send then gives an error saying something about unauthorized addresses ?????
Guest Vector Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 To check how much Free memory you have etc. download Task Manager, from the same people as smart explorer :) as for the email, you have to use smtp.orange.net as the outgoing server...
Guest forzahibs Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 i lloked on the site my phone , should i download by phone or pc ?? so many stupid questions but these things are so much different than phones i have had previously
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Download using your PC then you can run the exe for an easy install. Otherwise if you download the .cab you will need to place it in IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessories then go to accessories and run the cab from there. With either method, choose Storage card for the location to install to.
Guest forzahibs Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 I got them on , I even managed to get an mp3 on :) All i need is to crack the email and i'm sorted. One thing i found that might help someone , my activesync was forever trying to connect without managing , i turned off my firewall and it connected straight away , so now i have to disable the firewall to sync. Thanks again for your help
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 You should be able to configure your firewall to allow the phone to be connected.
Guest forzahibs Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Jeez i'm on a roll , I tried smtp.orange with no luck  then i thought i'm on O2 not orange , so i tried that and it works :) These things are pretty damn good 8)
