Omg; that thing is huge! ... and awarner said, its the rom log file. It also contains all the version info and a section called "Registered modules", whatever that is ...

No very useful, but cool that you found a hidden feature :)

hihihi its the GSM's Modem module AT terminal command response logs  now we could check if our modem is off hook :)

One other thing the value is being called from the evtlogs in the windows directory.

I have E200 (not tested this at this moment in time yet) and I bet there are a few hidden codes like I know with the GD87e, you switch it on and just before the network is found you press *#9999# and that brings up a hidden menu: there must be more for these phones.

PS just tried it on SPV3, you press *#999# and then the call button to reveal...

..."Could not open log file"

E200, well at least that works on my E200 and Toyota-F1 does talk of his E200 in his post!

slightly off-topicbut... i remembner a few old gsm codes from the nokia days :) and i remember that *#37# was to increase call quality, and also reduce battery life, enabled full duplexing or sumthing... annnnyway there was also a code to disable full duplex and this wud also apparently increase battery life, unfortunately i dnt remember the code, but i have tried the *#37# and it does confirm its enabled, so has anyone tried the reduce quality code to see if it gives more battery life??? :/

Those are operator/network dependant.

They might work for me (or you) ... and maybe not vice-versa.

Yeh im gettin the could not open log on my E200 too. :D

Out of curiosity...how did you come across this? Were you jus playin about with random codes?

The majority of those codes are for the network. But this one is for the phone and 998, but that doesnt do anything. All the rest send out the the network and, for me, come back saying unknown application.

*123# brings up a nice menu from my operator, with stuff such as news, etc ...

I came across by boredom.

It's like history. I guess what went wrong is that they invented the wheel and the fire on the same day. And on that night, they burned the wheel :D
