Moto MPx220 out in July

Just got off the phone to Orange upgrades and asked about new phones that I can have on upgrade, asked about any new Motos, she said they have a MPx220 coming ib July, no price but weight was 110g

mmmm is this correct?

I can upgrade now, not sure wether to get a E200 or wait, dont like waiting (have a SPV now) but mate has a MPx200 and love the look of it

any help?

can the E200 do voice dialling thru a BT headset?

I have heard quite a few people say that Orange have told them the MPx220 is out Late June/July

Hello, i work for orange retail uk and i can confirm that the Motorola Mpx220 has entered the retail intranet under "items currently in review" which means provided it's not laced with problems it should come on orange uk. It says, and i quote, "Release Date: July 2004, although this is subject to change" what this actually means, as anyone who has ever waited for a new phone on orange will know, is that this can mean anything from next month to a year, but we can only hope

Its just I can upgrade now and can get e200 for nowt, tempted to wait for MPx220 but not sure of the wait. ALso it seems the 220 only has VGA camera the same as the E200, so the only difference between the MPx220 and the E200 seems to be the design.

I dont want to pay too much and when it comes out will prob be expensive and then take a few months?? to come down in price

Its not just the difference between design. Assuming the MPx220 continues the tradition of the MPx200, it should also feature a 200MHz processor, unlike the 100MHz (Clocked to 84MHz I believe) processor running on the SPV.

So that means a much faster system making most of the free emulators and stuff reasonable playable, plus full 25fps movies...

But as always, the choice is yours. You will undoubtedly have to pay for the MPx220 when it comes out, as with nearly all new phones these days, but I don't care. It's becoming quite painful as to how much I want this phone!!! (Lets put it this way, I've been waiting since December!)

haven't seen anything yet, will let you know if i do. I would imagine the Mpx will be next in line as i saw it briefly on the cover of a motorola magazine, only guessing though.
