backlight in multimedia album

I've had a slight niggling problem with my phone since i had it.

When playing a .avi file in multimedia album, after bout 10 seconds the light turns off, despite having 'keep backlight on' selected

I don't have repeat on, or the progress bar showing.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Does anyone know a solution?
