IE and task Manager locking up

I have the original SPV upgraded to the latest update (1.6?)

Ever since this upgrade I have had nothing but problems. After going through the loop of re-installing all my apps and unlocking OTA, the SPV has randomly decided to reset it self countless times - very frustrating.

I have installed and re-installed, following all of the guidelines picked up in this forum (install one app, power off and on, reinstall next app, power off and on, etc).

Eventually however I have reached the point of not installed anything so my SPV is vanilla straight out of the box.

Now I have found that IE locks up on me at random when I have been browsing. When IE locks up, the only button that seems to work is the home key. Also, when this happens, if I then browse to Task Manager to kill IE, Task Manager locks up so that I cannot see any apps to kill. No buttons work in Task Manager except for the Home key.

The only way to get IE and Task Manager working again is to power off and on.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Redoing the 1.6 upgrade hasn't solved this one . . .

Sorry if this is too obvious, but are you installing things onto the phone or the storage card ?

If it's the phone then you're using up precious memory which will stop the other apps working.

All apps going onto starage card (256SD card :) )

Apps doesn't explain IE and Task Manager problems on vanilla SPV . . . an odd one don't you think?

I had this problem, but only when my SD card was in the phone, as soon as the card was removed TaskManager and Explorer worked again.

BTW, my SD card doesn't work on the E200...
