02 Xphone Rom update from 1.7x to 1.10x ( Problems )

Guys,

I've just upgraded my rom for the 02 Xphone from 1.7 to 1.10x . However now it seems that the speaker volume is significantly softer then the previous rom.

I've called the the 02 helpdesk and they said that they have made the rom to modify the speaker settings as previously it was too loud. However now, Its too freaking soft and I have to really press the phone on my ear to hear the other party talking.

Help. Is this normal ?

Where did you get the ROM from as going from 1.7 to 1.1

would be a downgrade and not an upgrade :?

Basically I guess x.7 or x.10 is equivilant to 7 is to 10 .....

Funnily enough, I'm not sure of this but I know its a higher version as it includes the Cleartype fonts etc..... and the infamous Lowered speaker/earpiece volume.

Unfortunately not 1.7 will be a newer version to 1.1 the decimal point

is the key to upgrade numbers.

The only other posibility is you may have missed a '0' off ie 1.07

then 1.1 would be an upgrade.
