can anyone tell me how to install a file in my spv. When i downloaded it into my PC and run winzip. Inside the winzip are files like _setup.xml.. etc. and i dont know how to install this kind of file because it is not a .cab file. Please help me..

Hi cris

Don't extract the cab file. Put the cab inside IPSMWindowsStartMenuAccessories folder then run the file there (click on the cab via Programs-Accessories).

I use SmartCAB by egavoille. Easier to install cab files with this PC app.

You may also try MoDaCo Smartrun.

Allow me to explain in details...

Lets say you want to install 'sample.cab' to your phone. You have to:

1. Sync phone to computer.

2. Explore Mobile Device then go to IPSMWindowsStartMenuAccessories

3. Put the 'sample.cab' in the folder.

4. Hit Home button of your phone then Programs (left soft key).

5. Go to Accessories folder

6. Look for 'sample' inside the folder.

7. Click on 'sample' , cab will open-install. Choose target directory (IPSM or Storage Card) and wait until app is successfully installed.

To install using SmartCAB:

1. Download the program first then install to PC.

2. Sync phone to PC

3. Browse folder of PC for the location of the cab, highlight the cab you want installed.

4. Right click mouse, then choose Install to SPV.

5. Hold phone then choose target directory when asked.

6. Wait for the cab to be installed.

if this is a home skin just move files to IPSM/Application Data/Home

and choose your home skin in settings
