Guest schriss
Well, the version I run on both devices comes as YetiPpc.exe and YetiSP.exe - is this GPL version? This is the version I'm testing for you on my Mio8390, Sean :-) Chris.
Guest mr_x
Yeh, that uses the commercial code and has my resolution switching in it. The original version, didn't and would probably crash quite badly.
Guest schriss
Cool :-) Thanks for explanation, now I understand.
Guest spark-x
Sounds interesting schriss - look forward to any demo's :) Croccy22 - nice to know the C500 is running it faster, wonder if its mostly due to the faster CPU or memory.. Guest schriss
What Croccy22 was running wasn't probably the same thing I was running :-) Because there is no Smartphone I am aware of that would have more memory than Mio8390 (I have 20MB Program Memory free) :-) Do not confuse program memory with not important storage. Guest gravity
RAM is the bottleneck. This is why when you have too many models showing up on the screen, the game starts to lag since it doesn't have enough storage to keep all the models in. Guest schriss
Cool thing is that, when on first level, I had two bots fighting me and absolutely no drop in frame rate :-) By the way: http://www.blacksmithstudios.com/solterra.html first game with Intel 2700G requirement :-) On the other hand, I suppose Yeti of course is also ready for hardware accelerators :-)
Guest spark-x
Can confirm what Croccy22 said now i have my C500 - graphics problem but such potential - FPS right up there sx
Guest schriss
Could you post a screenshot so we could see the fps as well as how the corrupted graphics look like on C500?
Guest spark-x
I'd love to - but not sure on how to take screenshots yet... i'll have a little search through the archives! sx
Guest schriss
search for Smartphone PowerToys on Microsoft. There is an Active Sync Remote Display app, it will slow the game down because it displays on PC what's on Smartphone in almost realtime. When using Pocket PC, there is a better tool: GetPDAScreen, it takes screenshot on demand only, so it does not slow down the game.
