Guest tomcamra Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 I know everyone may be getting sick an tired of all the moaning about cards not working but i have read most of the posts and still haven't come across an explanation for why my card doesn't work. I don't have the problem of the card saying cannot read/write file or anything along these lines my SPV E200 just doesn't detect the card, but it works fine with the standard 32mb i get with it. The reson im doubting is that i have had a SPV classic for the last year and the card has worked most of the time with this but now it doesn't. The cards a PNY SD 128mb, and i havent yet seen this under any lists of cards that don't work. Can you help me?
Guest tomcamra Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Another problem i just restarted my SPV E200 and i saw all the files i have on it but they were ghost, gradualy they dissapeared and now i can do anything. It knows theres a card there now because under System info it has the cards info wot could the problem be?
Guest tomcamra Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 This is Stupid!!! i Restart my phone again and it does not register the card at all i get Unknown in Sytem info and its back to square 1 after numerous attempts it still doesn't see it, and its not the card slot coz the 32mb standard card works fine and not the card coz i had it in my old SPV for the last 6months and no problem what so ever!!!
Guest madds Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Hi, i had the same problem with a 512mb. The problem with my card is that lost his "Bios" (a few mb where it keeps the filesystem and oem info among others) somehow. And it cannot be formated and only can be detected in certain hard drives management programs such as "Pc inspector smart recovery", "r-drive image", etc... Even if i try formating the card using usbterm.exe and a phone in bootloader mode doesn't work. If i put the card in my 6-in-1 conceptronic it does recognizes there's something in the sd slot but just tries to read and read and read... Any help would be fantastic. TIA
Guest Mr_Fen Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 I have a Toshiba 256MB SD card to use as a MP3 storage device. I have copied MP3's and WMA files directly to the card to play with explorer, the media player on the phone would recognise the files but not play them? I then copied the mp3's to the disk using Windows Media player 9 directly to the card when in the phone, my system hung and now the phone doesn't recognise the card at all  . The original 8MB card still works in the phone so its not the slot. The 256MB card still works on my PC but i didn't get the card for any other purpose. How can i get the phone to recognise the card and play the music?! :?
