Guest T-BoNe Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Hey Guys, whenever I try to select a custom ringtone in my programssettingssounds I see the filename of the midi file, but when I select it it just makes a small beeping noise. it does this for every custom ringtone I have tried. I have tried putting th eringtones in IPSMApplication DataSounds and in My Documents both just give me htis beeping noise. The Midi's I have used varied in file size for 8k to 32k Any ideas?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Welcome to the site :) When ringtones just beep it means they are in the wrong format, you need to use midi 0 for your ringtones.
Guest hnhupt Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 How to change that Midi to midi 0. Please advice.
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 You need this : Download: http://www.gnmidi.com :D
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 Yes you can .wav files must be formatted PCM 22,050 Hz, 8 Bit, Mono. You can use Windows sound recorder to do this.
Guest c0w Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 nope you can also use format 16bit 33khz stereo (any higher will cause your phone to crash as it does for mine), sounds a lot better than the 8bit 22khz =D
