Hi All,

I have the latest version of activesync installed and have my E200 paired with it perfect. Since pairing my Ipaq 3630 through a serial connection both my E200 and IPAQ disconnect after a minute and will not reconnect again (the green circle just keeps on turning). When my PC is rebooted they will connect again but only for a minute then it disconnects again. I have reinstalled ActiveSync and still the same. It only happens when I have two devices paired with ActiveSync. If I have the IPAQ only paired it works perfect and same if only the E200 is paired, it only happens if two devices are paired. I don't try to sync the two devices at the same time. Only one at a time...........

Any ideas......at all........anyone......... :?: :?: :?:

Activsync cannot handle more than one device being connected at a time. What you are experiancing is normal, hopefully

this will be adressed in future versions of Activsync.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Awarner!

I do have two partnerships associated with activesync is probably a better way to put it. I don't have the two devices trying to connect at any one time, it's either the ipaq OR the E200, neither are in their own cradles at the same time (not when the data lead is connected to the PC anyway). I didn't have any trouble having two partnerships with activesync before when I had my original SPV. It's only recently that I've paired my ipaq with activesync again and discovered that the connection starts to drop as soon as the Ipaq comes into the equation.

Oh well can't sync the ipaq I 'spose

Cheers

That's different from your first :)

The problem normally is that if you have both units connected only one will be seen but if you disconnect then reconnect the device in sync it will not reconnect until you

remove the other item.

One thing to try is to delete all partnerships and create new ones.

Hi all,

I tried Awarners suggestion, no luck i'm afraid. I have done the following to with the following results. Any ideas?

Uninstalled Active Sync 3.7.1. Reinstalled ActiveSync 3.7.1. Connected my E200 when prompted, WinXP Pro and Activesync picked my phone up as a USB device and installed it with no probs. This is normal up to this point and happens every time. After that it prompts me to set a partnership up, which I do as normal. It then syncs perfect and remains connected. I then thought "Nice one, it's working! I just won't connect my Ipaq!!...". After a reboot, I put my E200 into it's cradle, activesync fired up and connected and syncronised perfect. Then after about a minute I wanted to copy some MP3's across so I went to explore the phone. Nothing!! The activesync circle was still green, activesync still "said" it was connected but when I tried to resync items, an error about the connection had failed blah blah blah, i.e. the phone wasn't connected even though activesync thought it was!!!! Taking the phone out of the cradle turns the green circle gray again and reinserting it just makes it spin green but never connect, it just says "Connecting"! I have to reboot my PC to get another minute of connection out of it! I have turned off power save on the USB ports on my PC from within XP because it was set to turn USB off when there is no activity - this hasn't sorted it. I don't ever remember having this amount of problems with it before or with my original SPV. Could it be the update?? Could it be my motherboard?? Could it be little green men?????

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated, or if it's happening to you too, let me know........

Cheers
