They were selling them again a few weeks ago :)

The good news is that they have made some improvments to

things like the SIM holder. The ROM has also been updated.

I only bought mine last week and I took it that it was up-to-date. But I noticed on the box last night it was stamped Dec 2003. So I guess I have the old rom etc. How can I update the rom if poss?

There is no ROM update at the moment :)

I've noticed a few other differences, good and bad

1stly) Media player and other sounds skip as you close the flip and if the phone is thinking a bit.(didn't do it before)

2ndly) Vibrate during alarms and reminders is different. Instead of the vibration lasting the duration of the wav it pulsates with different length pulses.

4thly) The speaker phone seems a lot quiter

Judging by the 3rd point Moto appears to be taking note.

Sorry to drift off-topic slightly but I ran orange update last week and d/led everything that it showed me. Then today I checked it out of curiosity and there was a UK Keyboard update. I downloaded it just for the sake of it but when it came to install it said I needed an update, and gave me the orange SPV site as reference, as a place to get said update. What exactly did this mean?

Also I'm about to buy either a 256 or 512MB sd card. Any recommended cards and target price if possible. Cheers.

firstly check out amazonfor the best priced sd cards. they were doing 512s for seventy ish quid.

secondly my operator, manufacturer and language rom numbers are different even though i got my mpx200 two weeks ago. it does have the new sim holder though. looks like a new version every few weeks... :)

edit: just checked mine, and actually i have the old style sim holder. looks solid enough though. fingers crossed...

Just upgraded from my SPV for free, thanks Orange! I've now got both handsets to play with.

Does the MPx200 charge through the USB cable in the cradle or do I have to swap cables depending on whether I'm synching or charging (ballache). SPV cradle allows both cables at the same time.

Yep is charges through USB which is my main method of charging :D
