playing wmv files in smartphone

hi guys...i have a few videao clips that i've downloaded but it can't run properly on my mpx200.the sound was good but the pict freezes on and off.i noticed the bit rates are 250 and above...so how do i bring down the bitrate to suite my mpx?..and whats the ideal bitrate that the mpx can take while playing wmv/asf files?
