Guest pizdyetz77 Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 I've searched on all the obvious keywords but can't find a suitable answer. Hope this isn't a repeat . . . . Is there any way to add to the cycle of characters given as an option when typing text in E200 / 2003? For example: hitting "2" brings up "abc2". Is it possible to add more options? Second - when you press the "#" key it brings up a grid of many extra characters. How can I create my own font that will feature my own extra characters in place of the useless 5 bottom rows. Is there any easy freeware software out there that'll help me do this? I'd be using BlindLemon (thanks) to install my newly created font once it's done. I'm thinking that the second option will at least allow me to press "#" to bring up and select my Cyrillic characters if there's no solution to my first query. Hope someone can help, GH
Guest zeta101 Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 not sure about the first question, depends whether it could be done with registry editing, which i dont think so. You can get font making software (have a search with google) but if you plan to use the new characters you make in sending sms or emails they wont show up properly for anyone else because they will have to have your font installled.
Guest rcperez Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 I'm no genius, and i dont have an e200 but you could add the extended characters via changing your defualt T9 Language. Please search for T9 Language editor somewhere here in modaco. Also as for the # menu i think it changes when you change the T9 language. If you want to edit it manually here's the registry entry (might be different with the e200 i got this from my e100) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEInputLDBs] "0409"="t9englis.dll" "0407"="t9german.dll" "040c"="t9french.dll" "0410"="t9italia.dll" Example if your language is english and you want the extended characters in lets say german, just swap the entries and reboot. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEInputLDBs] "0407="t9englis.dll" "0409="t9german.dll" "040c"="t9french.dll" "0410"="t9italia.dll" You should now have extra characters. :)
