Guest bobby_t1 Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 Okay, i've looked at a ton of threads regarding WAV file ringtones support and they all talk specifically about the 2002 OS. What about 2003 OS? What specifically do I need to do to enable this? I've put my ringtone WAV files at Mounted Volumeringers and I tried installed SmartTones. However, when I run SmartTones, and go into parameters and change SD card name to "Mounted Volume" from "Storage Card", the program seems to break. I'm not longer able to select any location and things just get really weird (e.g. there is no more highlight that I can move with the direction pad). Can someone give me a step by step what to do? I'd much prefer to be able to just have a really good integrated experience where I'm able to specify ringtone for each profile in the profile settings page wihtout having to go to a 3rd party program or into the registry. I like things simple :) But I fear the solution isn't that easy.. so com'on kids, gimme the info!

In WM2003, /Mounted Volume/ is the SD card. I have ringtones in /Mounted Volume/My Documents/ and it doesn't appear in my list of available ringtones.
Guest A.Hughes Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 Try using SD Sounds, you'll find it in the apps forum on this site, its a beta and works fine on wm2003, you cant hear the sounds when you select but it does allow you to use ringtones and message alerts stored on your sd card. Ive attached a cab file, sorry, i still dont know how to insert a link to other threads on this forum, hope it works, try searching for the thread, you'll see a few instructions as well. :)SDSounds_SMP[1].ARMV4.CAB
