ActiveSync & SPV E200 keeps connecting as Guest

Whenever I attach my E200 to my PC, it keeps connecting as Guest.

It used to work fine before, but now it keeps connecting as Guest. I have disconnected the phone, deleted the partnership, created a new partnership, but it works the first time, and after that, it connects a Guest automatically. Please help me!

I have uninstalled and installed ActiveSync 3.7.1. No luck.

I have “soft” reset both my phone and PC then tried again. No luck.

Can you check your Registry settings so I can compare them with mine please?

In PHM Registry Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Ident and then press Values. What things come up? I have

Desc (in here I have [blank])

Name (in here I have Orange_SPV3)

OrigName (in here I have SmartPhone)

Username (in here I have guest)

What settings do you have? I’ve heard it doesn’t matter if there are 2 “Name” things, I had 2, but after it stopped working, I was testing different things and I deleted it and can’t recreate it (I’m sure this isn’t the problem though).

Please help me!

(Also, does this code make sense? It's a .log file of ActiveSync (named wcesmgr.log)

I had the same problem not long ago and nothing fixed it until I re-ghosted my PC. I hope someone gives you a better answer but something was corrupt on my end and it was my only fix.

It's alright, I did a hard reset on my SPV E200 a few days ago, all works well now :)
