Guest RickDawson Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 I'm currently on orange UK PAYG I think that i'm paying £4 per mb for GPRS usage Is there any better way to have GPRS, without paying in advance for voice calls my current usage is (per month): - max 30 text messages - 2 or 3 short voice calls - large usage of GPRS data access for email & web browsing most people I know are on orange (UK) I can't make any sense of the information on any of the mobile network operators sites for GPRS.
Guest Colonel Trouble Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Im sure that on o2 online pay as you go sim , gprs usage is free .. A few of my mates have been using it for ages . I would too but I couldnt be bothered getting my mpx200 unlocked ..
Guest RickDawson Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Is this for web or just wap, as it shows on the page? http://shop.o2.co.uk/cgi-bin/o2uk/jsp/tari...O2:TALKALOT:SIM If it includes free web and email, then it will be a good deal, although calls are more expensive. I usually spend £10 mainly on GPRS a month, and the odd texts and voice calls. The £10 would then just go on all voice calls I think from just looking at the page on their site, that it is only wap.
Guest squall Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 O2 said there free gprs use would end at the start of may - did this not happen?
Guest RickDawson Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 not being an o2 customer, the only thing I can see is that their site shows gprs at a cost of £0.00 per mb anyway I was sceptical as to the sustainability of offering free gprs. I'm still looking for better options :-k can anyone suggest any to me.
