Guest SimFan Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Incredible. Having read that some BT adapters work for only a few meters I was afraid to get one. The BR Class1-100m BT adapter from Sitecom works at around 50 m when tested used outside the house with my laptop. Inside the house it works one floor down (10m or something). Thx for all you guys helping out with the installation (read many posts before installing). BTW I never 'upgraded' to any new 'improved' ROM version. My E200 has worked fine for months without a glitch - out-of-the-box. I wanted to upgrade till I read all the 'horror' stories. Thx for warning us all. Only downside (in my case) is the one day battery issue. Surfing the net at no additional cost is great. :)

Guest Maverick Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 How can I use my pc's inet instead of gprs? Setup Activesync over BT and then use Pass Thru connection to use the pc's inet
Guest SimFan Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 A suggestion when I may. It might be a good idea to set the phone into 'flightmode' while initially testing BT connections, cause if Activesync is not set up correctly for BT you will pay the bill (for gprs, wap...) surfing the net. It happened to me first time before I realised it was not what I had hoped for (pass-thru). Problem is that flightmode on-off will also necessitate resetting the BT connection each and every time. Once Active Sync setup is OK, no need for flight mode. Works like a charm.
