Software Installation Issue

Ok last week i bought the Microsoft Streets and Trips cd and i found that it came with Pocket Streets, so i wanted to install it and i tried installing it and it went thru everything perfectly on the PC and then said the normal thing like look at ur phone to see if it has any question, but what my mpx does is that it just says that the Pocket Street cab file is downloaded and is installing and that message just stays there for like 2 seconds and then disappears and when i check my phone or my sd card the app is no where to be found, then after a couple more tries of installing the app i gave up. Now i have a couple of other apps that i wanted to install and whenever i try to install them the PC part works perfectly but when it tells me to look at my phone it gives me the message on my phone that it downloaded the Pocket Streets.cab!!! rather than the program im trying to install and then just quits and im not able to install any apps on my phone. Now if i load that cab file on the phone and then install it off the phone it works that way. I have done a hard reset on the phone and also uninstalled and reinstalled activesync 3.7.1 but it still does the samething on my phone. i dont know what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you are installing the Smartphone version of Pocket Streets as there is a Pocket PC

version also and it may be that one you have got?

And if it is going back to the homescreen, check under Programs>Settings>Homescreen and set the timeout to never :)

What you have a failed install,

What you need to do is using Activsync explore the phone and

go to the following location.

IPSMWindowsAppMgrInstall now delete everything you find

in the Install folder.

You should now be able to install apps again :)

There are a few reasons to why this has happened,

1, you did not have enough free physical memory available at the time of install

2, as Vector said above the initial install was a pocket PC version instead

of a Smartphone one.
