Motorola MPx200 900/1800 band

I couldn't get my mpx200 to work with 900/1800 band. I just travel to asia and couldn't get my phone to work there. I know they using 900 band over here. I have flashed my phone (AT&T mpx200) to have 900/1800 band but it seem didn't work at all. Any suggestion??

There have been mixed responces to this, what you have

used to "flash" you phone with was an leaked ROM image

that was not designed for public release.

Some people claim it works but most say it appears to allow

the selection of the bands, but the phone does not actually

connect (as you have found)
