In my searches I've found about three versions of firmware for the MPX200 from ATT. I'd like to see if there are any more and figure out if I have the latest. The current method I'm told is to look under SettingsAbout, and look for the Operator Field.

If you have a version higher than: 1.1.20.81 please post a note here with that number. If you have a lower number and had your phone less than 30 days, consider taking it back to ATT.

Thanks in advance

I have had my phone since March of this year, and I'm running at version 1.0.39.65 much lower than current ones. What effect should this have on my phone? Because the phone itself is running without a hiccup.

There are a couple of issues, one related to Caller ID display on the rear LCD no showing up in a timely manner. Another with the battery and how long the charge last. Finally one where the phone will just lock or freeze in a menu or screen.

I think the problem for ATT is that now they have several flavors for the phome so upgrading them to 2003 would be a real challenge and would probley wipe the phone clean to get it installed. Then the applcation issues where you phone software might not work on the current 2003 version would be a major pain for them. To this end, the rumor is that there will not be a 2003 upgrade for this phone, which wold really suck.

Considering this, I want to get the most up-to-date phone I can get before my month runs out.

Correct :) as 2003 is a completely different OS, the core compnents of

the OS are changed so it's not like running a simple update.

If an update were to be available it would have to be a straightforward

operation to reduce possibles errors and killing of phones.

As time goes on I find it more unlikely that a public release of 2003 for

the mpx200 will be available, especially with the 100 and 220 just round the corner.
