Switched from MPX200 to E200... have a few questions.

Hello all, I just received an E200 as a gift from a relative in France and have eagerly switched from my MPX200. I installed the update RU_v2.53_OrangeFR_v2.6.2.4_Ship.exe successfully, but now it appears that I am missing a few things. There are programs in my Windows folder that I don't have shortcuts to in the start menu, etc. I've tried to do a hard reset, but can't get that to work either. Has anyone else had any similar problems?

Also, I've read a few scarce posts about installing the QTEK 8080 ROM on the E200. Is this advisable?

Edit: Sorry one last question. My E200 is from France, and being not so fluent in French myself, I was wondering if installing the UK E200 update would break anything. :?

You can just make shortcuts to the programs in the Windows folder in the start menu :)

You can do it via activesync, just explore the phone with activesync, go to Windows, copy the program you want to open, now go to StorageWindowsStart Menu and paste shortcut there...

It's not advised to use different ROM's on the phone as it can mess up the phone..

You can change the locale and language in Settings>Regional Settings :lol:
